Hey Y'all!!!
Did you read the title tho? No practice pebbles for me, I did them on an actual quilt top!!! Whoa now, let me get my PRAISE BREAK in!
Those pebbles tried to break me, but if ya knew how my perseverance was on a level 10+, failing was not an option! My goal is to have 6 designs under my belt by Christmas. So far I have stippling, loops, and now pebbling. I'm currently doodling Maze-Style Background from Teresa Silvia book,
Longarm Quilting Workbook Basic Skills, Techniques & Motifs for Modern Longarming. This book is awesome guys, I really mean it!
Here is Mini Quilt 1, pebbles and straight-line ruler work:
Here is Mini Quilt 2, stippling and straight-line ruler work:
I'm doing it y'all, can't you tell how excited I am?
Guess what time it is? If you guessed Q&A time, your right! I have 2 questions for you today:
-What is your favorite go to book for quilting designs?
-What YT'er(s) do you find yourself watching for quilting designs?
Me, I can't name just one book. Of course, Teresa's book is my favorite, but so are Angela Walters and Natalia Bonners books. As for YT'ers, again Natalia, Angela, APQS, Jamie Wallen and Jess Zeigler of Threaded Quilt Studio.
Before I end this post did you notice the new header and signature? Snazzy, right? Kim Baum did her thing! I spoke of finding her on Etsy a couple of post back. If you are in need of a new blog or website look, please consider her.
Well, that's all I have for today. I am about to go and start the last Mini Quilt with the fun Maze-Style Background that I mentioned above.
So until next time, I'm just a novice long arm quilter, striving to be consistently good!

Like you I don't have any one place to go for designs and sometimes they are just in my head.
