Fully Transitioned

Hey Y'all!

Changing from Blessed 2 Quilt to Memoirs of a Long Arm Quilter is now complete.  All of my social media handles are now changed and I'm in love with the name.

I have been able to blog weekly and without the tears and anxiety, it feels soooo good.  I will keep a 'picture of of the logo for memories, but it won't be a constant reminder.

I found Kim Baum of Simply Lemonberry on Etsy.  She was a joy to work with and nailed what I needed in a logo.  In my mind, I pictured a journal and a long arm machine or something along those lines.  That would have been so typical, literal and predictable of me.  When I saw that her logo design was simple and modern, I then realized she gave me what I really needed.  Without hesitation, I was like -

Now, to get the correct blogger theme to go great with my logo is key.  I will be testing several themes in the up coming weeks in order to get it just right.

I would like to thank each of you for your kind words, thoughts and prayers on last week.  My 11 day migraine is all gone, praise the Lord!  πŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸΎπŸ’ƒπŸΎ  It was a doozy, so now I'll be looking for a Neurologist so we can get this handled on first onset and not try to treat it over the counter myself and let it spiral out of control.

I did manage my time so that I could get in some quality time playing with Tafari.  By the end of the month, I want to have pebbles down!  Finding a comfortable speed has been a challenge.  I find myself going either way too fast or too slow.  I know there is a speed in between, I just haven't found it yet.  I'm also trying to start with quarter size pebbles and not dimes sized ones.  Here is a picture of what my very first go looked like at a speed of 650:

This speed is really slow.  I thought it would be good at least until I built up my confidence, hand and eye coordination and re-training my mind to quiet down again.  Now I need to search for music or books to listen to that will lull me and not stimulate when I'm quilting.   You would have thought I remembered that from when I had Ava (HQ Avante).  πŸ€·πŸΎ‍♀️

As days past, I increased my speed.  Here are my pebbles today at the speed of 850:

Not as jerky, but I feel as if I'm getting much better.

Q&A time, yippee!!!

Please leave your answers in the comment section to the following questions:
-What works best for you when you are pebbling (I.e: your rate of speed, do you repeat a small pattern or go willy nilly, and what was the key to you finally getting how to pebble)?

-What do you listen to when you are on your long arm, mid arm or on your domestic sewing machine?

Well, enough chit chat for now.  Time to get ready for the week and hopefully to play on Tafari more this evening.

Until then, ✌🏾!
