My First Blog Post

Well, not really! Blessed2Quilt is where I used to blog, but found myself straining for the time I needed to commit to a blog, work, podcast, housework, family including to include a sick child, medical issues of my own, quilting and a dog. My life has permanently changed, and not all for the bad! 😉 I am no longer working, so I can spend more time doing the things I love to do. My goal is to create a short and to the point post weekly. I will continue to post on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. I will start blogging here and hope to return back to podcasting as soon as I find myself able to do so. Healing & Hexies

Hey Y'all! I'm baaaaacccccckkkkk!!! So much has happened with my health since the last time I posted. Actually, it has been the reason why I haven't been able to get back into my studio. I have to make some changes to my studio to make it safer for me to stay down in there before I can go back in there. I can't and won't try to remember the last project(s) that I was working on before I took ill, so I will start talking about what I'm on now. My sister, Teresa Silva , reminded me that I could still have some quilty fun when I'm not in my studio. She asked, if I had an EPP project. I forgot all about the Paper Piecing Hexie Templates I purchased while I was out visiting her back in 2016. She sent me an awesome care package of beautiful fabrics by Free Spirit and her favorite piecing needles. Learning Tafari and Stress

Hey Y'all! This week I've learned that I must go back to square one. I have to admit Tafari is nothing like my Ava (HQ Avante) at ALL. I thought since I had a long arm before, I could just go with the flow, NOT! I'm having to slow down, shut up and let him tell me all about his self. The first thing I had to remember/learn about were the white and green buttons. Remembering to tap and not hold the button until it responded. That was and still is hard for me to remember, I think I almost got it down tho. I'm also learning what MY speed is. I love all the videos and tutorials, but trying to going as fast of some of you will cause me to lose a finger or two. 😂 I was taught this swoop thingy with picking up the bobbin thread, yeah, no, I still have to do it the way I learned many years ago.
